Business Cards
Add Ink Tattoo
Ève and I go back a long time. As the owner of Add Ink Tattoo, she hired me many times to update her business card. Edgy, simplistic and black and white are the main characteristics of Add Ink Tattoo's brand. Shown below are four versions of the business cards created for Add Ink Tattoo, one of which was a limited edition.
Black and White Approach
Very simple, the first version of the business card was in perfect harmony with the original website. Black and white photography and tones combined a with typewriter style font gives a vintage vibe reminding us of tattoo subculture.
Versatile Business Cards
For the second version, we opted for a vertical look while keeping the feel of the original design. Contrast was increased to emphasize the typography. A blank space was added on the card for people to write down their next appointment. The card now has two functions : business card and reminder.
Back to Basics
Definitively being the most simple, the third version of Add Ink Tattoo’s card keeps the versatility of the previous version while going back to the original horizontal design. The pictures were removed to make room for illustrations advertising the studio’s new piercing services. The card now shows separate symbols for tattoo and piercing services.
Having Fun with Business Cards!
The final version of the business card was a limited edition created for a tattoo convention Add Ink Tattoo was attending. A fun feature was added, allowing the card to transform into a temporary tattoo. This very creative feature lead to a huge success at the tattoo convention where children would run around displaying their temporary tattoo, promoting the business at the same time.
